HYATT GRAND CHAMPIONS INVITES KIDS TO PARTICIPATE IN LOCAL CAMP HYATT ‘ON ASSIGNMENT’ CONTEST 8/20/09

Hyatt Grand Champions Resort, Villas and Spa proudly offers Camp Hyatt, a year-round program for children ages 3 through 12 and their families. An incredible array of supervised activities awaits your children at the Palm Springs kid-friendly resort, as they discover the wonders of surrounding nature surrounding. Kids have the opportunity to learn about flora, fauna, culture, and geography of the region, in addition to zipping down our water slide, planting a cactus, designing sand paintings or enjoying a dive-in movie, among many other fabulous and fun activities available.

WHAT: On Thursday, August 20, Hyatt Grand Champions invites kids ages 6-12 and their parents to the resort to take part in the Camp Hyatt ‘On Assignment’ contest.

Winner to receive free overnight stay and Camp Hyatt Experience

Kids will enjoy a Petting Zoo on Serena Vista Lawn featuring a variety of animals, including pigs, turtles and a donkey, to name a few, along with music and refreshments. Also, Dizzy Darla the Clown will be doing face painting.

During the event, kids will have the opportunity to film and submit a 1-2 minute video detailing why they want to be the Camp Hyatt ‘On Assignment’ reporter and which Camp Hyatt activities they would enjoy most and why.

The kid with the most creative and entertaining video will win an overnight stay at the Hyatt Resort for them and three guests and their own Camp Hyatt experience.

In addition, Hyatt Resorts recently launched the national Camp Hyatt ‘On Assignment’ contest. By visiting www.CampHyattOnAssignment.com , kids can enter the video contest to become a Kid Journalist to go “On Assignment” at a Camp Hyatt and report back on his/her experience. To enter, kids ages 6-12 must have parental consent and can upload a video about why they would be the perfect Camp Hyatt reporter, which Hyatt Resort they want to visit and which activities they would enjoy most.
